How good of a source is this. I was always intimidated by the bio section and thought it was the entire book. Just found out its only the first 8 or so chapters. I thought the DAT would be much more intense. I know its a fairly easier read compared to the DAT but how much easier?

By 8 I mean 15 but they stil ldont seem that intense to me

I'd read Cliff's instead! I haven't taken the DAT yet but I've read both Cliff's and KBB and even though I don't see a huge difference (there's actually some stuff Cliff's leaves out that KBB covers, like brain anatomy for example).... but people who have taken the test usually say Cliff's and Barron's are the bio winners.

I describe it this way. I only took the first half of general biology so there was alot of biology topics that I hadnt learned. Because of this i was real nervous about the bio section. I used the KBB and cliffs ap bio and they helped out a ton. I got a 20 on the bio section. Obviously I could have done better but i feel for the amount of biology Ive had I did well. KBB really does help out alot. You have to keep in mind about the bio section they can't ask you to indepth its more about random broad topics not indepth specifics. If you need a KBB pm me.

The bio section is super random there was at least 12 questions not covered in AP cliff bio or KBB when I took mine. I still scored a 22 in bio with some guessing though. I looked back and my campbell bio textbook had the answer to the rest of the questions except one I couldn't find.. So if you want a 30 do campbell also. But, if you want 20-24ish I think you can get away with AP cliff bio, KBB, 1 year of bio class and Barron's AP bio. Just remember, breadth over depth.
