I am borrowing a complete set of Kaplan step II CK books and I think they are great....for whatever that is worth.

I think the Internal medicine is great because you get filler, unlike with B&W or Crush. I for one need a little background information and pathophys for the various etiologies of disease processes.

how do get the set of kaplan books? I looked on the website and could not find them...the only place i found them at are random websites. if you could let me know that would be great, cause i thought the kaplan books were money for step 1. thanks.

I am borrowing them from someone who already took the course. Do you know anyone in the classes ahead of you that might have aleady taken the course and have the books around. I think even an "older" set would suffice.

I have the Step 2 books (bought them from a 4th year that took the course), and I think they are really good. I have used them for all of my rotations and have done well on all my shelfs. I am hoping they will also be helpful for step2ck. They are like the Step 1 books in terms of format.

The books are okay, you can do fairly well on step 2 if you know them...I used them in combo with UW and got 237...but I would combine kaplan with something else, perhaps boards and wards or something to get a really killer score.

Maybe I am having a blonde moment, but what's UW?

I thought the surgery section was pretty good, especially the vignettes. The internal medicine is also good, but you have to have lots of time for that!

how about the NMS series books, how do they compare to the kaplan books.
