I have a presentation to do this weekend as part of a pre-req for teaching the kaplan DAT course. I have to, for five minutes, give a lecture on a non academic topic anwering a "how to" question of my choice. For those that have done this, wat did u choose? and those that havent, any suggestion on a topic?

Do something you know "how to" do. Simple.

I'd probably do "how to resistance train (weight lift) with the aim of increasing strength."

OK, I see you are talking about the audition. I did it on origami (how to make a paper swan). :hardy:

I work for Kaplan already but I have to do another presentation next weekend for DAT students... At first I thought you were talking about that....

hey all i'm currently teach for kaplan and went through the same thing in may! seriously, its way laid back. mine was "how to throw a party." make it interesting, use the board, ask a lot of questions, and make up some fun acronym. you'll be fine.

how much does Kaplan pay and how well do you have to do on a section to teach it?

thanks.

I think that you have to score in the 90th percentile on the DAT, so a AA score of 21 or higher

Yes, we have to score on top 90% percentile.
Also, we are not allowed to tell anyone what we make because it all depends on experience and how well we teach. So a co-worker of mine can be making more money than me and I will never know

my lesson was "how to survive when caught in crossfire." they loved it.... WikiHow is your friend!
