How would you compare the material that kaplan provides versus the real comlex?

I've heard that the material is more or less USMLE style material with added OPP subjects here and there...

If you've take the comlex and had the kaplan review course:
1.) What are some similarities between materials?
2.) What is different with the COMLEX and kaplan material?
3.) How should one focus on studying for the COMLEX?

thanks!!

I'd like to know if COMLEX Qbank is indicative of the breakdown of subjects on the COMLEX...the majority of my questions (after 850) have been musculoskeletal (about 170 of them), and it's getting really f'ing annoying. I really hope the exam isn't that way.

Thread revival.

How do the Kaplan COMLEX questions compare to the actual COMLEX? Similar? Harder? Easier?

I dunno..they seem pretty straightforward. I've been doing UWorld, so that makes every COMLEX bank seem like easy street, but even the COMBANK questions are a little harder than Kaplan judging from what I've seen so far.

Maybe a 3rd year can grace us with some answers :xf:

I think you're OK with just taking UW (if you are going to be taking the USMLE also) since there is a lot more overlap in Step 1 (i.e. mechanism of action, molecular biology etc)
The Kaplan for Step 1 was.....OK. Nothing too earth shattering. If you are taking just the COMLEX then Kaplan should be fine.
