Many have complained here that Kaplan tests are easier thatn the actual DAT. Even a Kaplan School Admin replied in that thread that they “take students feedback seriously”.

Now I want to know if things are much improved. A couple of us are
hesitating about taking Kaplan DAT. We need to know if it is improved.

Greatly appreciate your feedback !

absolutely nothing changed. im taking advantage of the guarantee thing and this time around, i was mailed the same exact materials. and yes, definitely some kaplan sections are way too easy compared to the actual test. especially PAT and QR

Are you planning on taking the online course, or the actual classroom course, I heard the Kaplan Course hasn't changed much.

I think DAT courses are a waste of money, but if you absolutely have to take a DAT course and its going to be online I would Check out UMKC's DAT course, its about 1/3 the price of kaplan and taught by faculty of the UMKC dental school and UMKC according to their website, the link is here http://www.cewebinar.com/umkc/

Good Luck!

Kaplan makes them easier because if they stress students out by making the program too hard, they will lose their customer base very fast. They want to make people feel good about themselves...

Imagine having to pay stupid amounts of money to take a class that is on par to achiever difficulty... very demoralizing especially after forking over $1000+
