Kaplan DAT vs real DAT

hey guys,
So I been taking the Kaplan DAT Midterm and got bio17, gchem18,ochem 19..... eventhough Ive been studying so hard!!🙁
how would you compare the real DAT to the Kaplan DAT?

Well this is the type of thing you should NOT be thinking about and it is different for every person. Personally I can't compare it but all my scores went up 2 points on the actual dat compared to the kaplan dat's

I got like 18 Bio 19 GChem and 17 Ochem,
Real DATs few days later I got 19 Bio 19 Gchem and 27 Ochem. I thought it was easier, except for the Bio

Does it really matter how KAPLAN compares to the real DAT? What's important is that you don't have a single 19+ score on your practice test, which should tell you that you have to study some more in order to be prepared for the exam!

I scored a 19 Bio, 19 Gchem, and 18 Ochem midterm. I took DAT July 22nd and scored a 20 Bio, 22 Gchem, 22 Ochem. The highest KAPLAN score on sciences, including all of the subject tests, full length tests, blue book and cd tests was a 21 Bio, 23 Ochem, 23 Gchem. My average I would say was a 19 Bio, 20 Ochem, 20 Gchem. Hope that helps.

I would say keep taking tests and figure out the wrong and right answers to make sure you have everything down. Anything you are missing should be easily correctable at this point. In Gchem and Ochem, I seriously think the best way to study is to do 1000's of questions, and doing flashcards of Destroyer roadmaps to do well. Bio is a pure read/study area. So keep at it and your scores should go up, and your DAT score should be a little higher, IMO.

Personally I thought the kaplan questions were easier than the actual DAT. This is not to scare you in any way though, because I actually scored higher on the actual DAT than the kaplan tests. For the kaplan the highest I got was 17 for bio, gc, and ochem, so go figure.

When I was taking the Kaplan online course, I came over to SDN for the same question. Instead, I searched and got my answer. I'm telling you this because this was a thread fail, except for ajlst11 post.

Hmm, I didn't get that impression at all about this thread, why do you think so?

Anyway, I didn't take the real DAT yet, but I've taken Topscore and Kaplan tests. Everyone pretty much says Topscore is very similar to the real thing, and I personally found Topscore tests to be harder than the Kaplan tests. But even so, I still get higher scores on Topscore, I guess it's because as we keep studying, we keep getting better at the DAT. Or at least I make luckier guesses on Topscore
