Hey guys,

Just took the diagnostic. Looking to get some feedback. I am planning on taking the DAT August 14th. I have studied some out of KBB, but have not focused my studies a ton. This is the first practice test i have completed. My AA was a 16... Any thoughts on how this stands?

Did you study before you took the diagnostic? If you did, that may be a little problematic..

But really, practice test scores don't really tell you how you will do in real test so don't sweat about it 🙂

I think I got 22 AA when I took Kaplan's diagnostic test that I torrented.

my kaplan diagnostic was about the same, but I'm not too worried.
I only looked over a little bit of bio before the test, and everything I did look over I got right.

if anything, the diagnostic should help you because it lets you know what you need to work on..for example, my gen chem section was terrible, on the other hand, I only missed 2 on the ochem section. So in my studying I'll focus more on gen chem and just a brief review for ochem 👍

dude your fine. I got an AA 16 on my diagnostic. i studied with what i had for a few months and i got a AA 20 TS 21

Thanks guys, i feel a bit better. To answer your question, no i did not study a whole lot before the diagnostic. I did not want to burn myself out, i still have about 2.5 months before the test and I would rather get the bulk of my studying done 8 weeks prior. I went through KBB, skimmed it mostly, I just wanted to get an idea of all that was included on the test. Here is my breakdown.

Bio 15
Gen Chem 15
O Chem 16
PAT 13
QR 16
RC 15

Something along those lines. My goal is still an 22 (AA). Lets hope i can pull it off!!!

Ill be using Crack DAT, Destroyer, Cliffs, and possibly Chad's with Kap..

You will be fine as long as you study. I took a Kaplan practice test the night before my exam and got a 16AA. Ended up with a 19AA.

(probably going to retake cause i want to hit 20 but hope that puts it into perspective)

No, it is part of the Kaplan course. It is like a pre-test.. So you know where you stand going into the class and studying.
