Kaplan full length

My school paid for me to take the Kaplan course which I more or less blew off cause I read on here about the ineffectiveness of it and went to Chad's and destroyer and bootcamp instead (DONT REGRET IT!). However, I'm close to taking my test and was wondering. If I should take a couple of the full length practice tests they offer with the course? Has anyone done those? Are they representative?

I think I read one of the breakdown from a UCLA guy in Glimmer's breakdown list that said the 1st or 2nd was very representative of the real DAT for him. I think he was the top of the list in the breakdown list.

I'm taking the Kaplan course now and from reading around on these forums there are mixed feelings about how representative Kaplan is. Taking their full lengths shows me my weaknesses in certain areas allowing me to redefine my study plan. As far as how representative the questions are compared to the real DAT I personally can't say until August 23rd when I actually take it. Since your school is paying for it, it can't hurt to take it.

I'm taking mine on August 23rd also 🙂 and also using Kaplan full length exams to test myself. We have like 5 more weeks left, but I feel like there's no time left haha hbu?

The closer we get the more I feel that the day becomes less productive. There just needs to be more hours in the day! The Kaplan tests I feel are good because there are a lot of people posting saying that the natural sciences are harder than what you find on the actual exam so you end up being over prepared. Another group of people complain that the full lengths are not representative of the DAT but if it is because the Kaplan DAT is harder then I'm totally fine with that. Right now I'm retaking all the full lengths except for 5, which I didn't do yet, and I see about a 2-3 point increase so in 5 weeks that will certainly change.

Gotcha! Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Kaplan, but they aren't terrible. Although I still regret paying $1500 for the course.
