Kaplan Live Online Class? Am I ready?

So I'm halfway through the kaplan live online course and debating when I should take the DATs. I was originally planning on September since it is within the 2-4 weeks after the course is over (recommended by Kaplan).

I'm a little doubtful because I've been taking Organic Chemistry Lab during the first half of the online course. I've been doing all the work but struggled taking the lab class and devoting at least 3 hours to the DATs.

I also heard that if you do all the work and quizzes and stuff you'll get a 20+ on the DATs. True?

Basically, what should I do?
Study 6 hours a day every day except sundays til the End of September to take the real test? I'm trying to get into VCU dental where the average DAT score is a 19

I personally took the Kaplan online course - not the live one. I went through all the subject tests and quizzes 3 times. I actually took the subject tests and quizzes 2 times (reviewing them afterwards) and reviewed once more the last time around.

Then I used DAT destroyer and went through it 3 times. I solved the problems the first time around and passively reviewed them 2 times.

Give yourself enough time to review ALL the material that Kaplan gives you and set up the DAT date based on when you will have finished all the reviewing. You can easily make a 20AA from only using Kaplan if you study everything thoroughly.

Try to devote 10+ hrs a day to DAT if you can. Since you are in a time crunch, you need to study.

If you were only taking Orgo lab in the summer, then you should have had plenty of time to study. How much have you prepared?

How much more preparation is left? You still have 2+ weeks to prepare before school starts. Once school starts, DAT studying will be super hard to manage. I'd say bust your ass for the next 2 weeks and then maybe take one more week to study while in school and then go take the test. No need to wait around for too much.

I took Kaplan live online last November and did everything that was given but I was nowhere prepared to take the DAT. I retook the course.. but never attended lectures the 2nd time. It was just for the sake of having access to the online material.
While ppl may get 20+ from using Kaplan alone, I realized like mid May when I began to study again that it wasn't enough. I also used Chad's videos, Organic Odyssey (not necessary), Campbell's bio (like half the book), DAT destroyer, Math Destroyer, Cliff's AP bio, CDP, thinkwell bio videos, my college Orgo text, and Achiever. .
Are you applying this year or next? If next you should def use the time to add some more study materials.
Btw.. i used a lot of other sources instead of the Kaplan books or flashcards.. I only used their online material

Hmm well I could study more I guess in winter break but I feel like that'd be a waste of the online kaplan resources because I'd probably forget all the info I absorbed.

I'd rather not push the test back further and spend more money on stuff like Destroyer and stuff because I can just review every online resource that Kaplan offers..I'm considering buying crack dat PAT because even my kaplan instructor recommends it if we're still struggling.

I'm planning on submitting everything by June 1st. I'm a junior at UVA and want to go to vcu dental after graduation.

I'm reaching for a 20+ on my DATs

I exactly studied like TK2006 and scores 24AA/26TS and 18 PAT (I suck @ PAT). spend 3 weeks on destroyer and Topscore and u will dominate the DAT game! Feel free to ask any questions as I was in the same boat last month bud!
