I'm trying to decide if I want to do Kaplan live or not... if I do, for which subjects should I supplement/substitute material from other sources?

Here's the list I complied of possible supplementation/substitution candidates, but I'm not sure which ones should be substituted, supplemented, or just not referenced at all. I also could easily be missing some important sources (feel free to add).

RR path
BRS phys
High Yield Cell and Molecular Biology
Lange Review of Medical Micro and Immuno (for immuno)
Micro Made Ridiculously Simple
HY: Behavioral Science

I'll definitely go through FA a time or two (at least I hope to), but which other sources would I be hurting myself by not including? i.e. which sources are so good I HAVE to use them, or which kaplan books or so bad (comparatively) that I HAVE to use something else?

Also, if anyone wants to make an argument that sways me for or against Kaplan live I and my indecisiveness would greatly appreciate it. 😀

edit: I'll be doing USMLEworld instead of Kaplan's qbank.

from what i've heard - kaplan live can be very good.

My suggestion is: if you're going to do a course, stick with the course. when you start trying to do all sorts of sources - you run into the danger of doing LESS work because you're trying to gather a ton of info. it's just not going to be helpful.

Usually before a course starts - you might have a couple of weeks before it starts up. During that time, work on a subject or two you feel weak in so you're more "prepared" when you review it in the course.

For "Path" itself - John (barone?) is good. Goljan is cool because he's tying in a lot of different fields together to get you thinking about things in different scenarios - but if you haven't reviewed those before you do the audio - sometimes it may feel a little overwhelming.

Off topic - but has anyone taken Falcon with Goljan yet? His he still the "man" for the Step or has he lost his edge? I'd imagine there would be a new audio (or video??) file from someone soon enough.

According to Kaplan videos:

A lot of my friends have or are using Kaplan and they've said the following are good: Physio, Pharm, Behavioral Science, Biochem, Path
Neuro is HORRIBLE --> definitely use your class notes or HY Neuro. That guy SUCKS. he does a horrendous job going over the 4 main tracts and just speeds by. Maybe the dude did some E before he started up.
Anatomy - the guy spends a lot of time trying to tie in embryo and anatomy. I couldn't pay attention to the guy
Micro - pretty much just reads stuff out - not too much in the "let me teach it so you remember it" kind of way; more of a memory jogger
Immuno - same lady that does micro
