Kaplan medical step 3 courses

I am A FMG who is ECFMG certified. Have absolutely nothing to do with myself from now until July. I am looking into getting clinical experience here in USA but also want to get step 3 out of the way b4 residency starts. Has anyone taken the Kaplan Medical step 3 prep courses? my questions are as follows:
1. do you advise taking the center access which allows you to watch the DVD's or do u suggest going to the live lectures? or do u suggest the combined package of both the live and the DVD lectures?
any help would be appreciated
