Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to purchase OAT study guides in bookstores. I looked on amazon and several other websites that sell books and can't find them. Are they only sold to the students taking the Kaplan course? 😕

Yes, I believe the book is only made available to those who take the prep course. You can try the Kaplan DAT book (although it doesn't have the Physics section). There are other prep books, but I'm not too familiar with them (ex. the Lipincott one).

you should try studying with DAT books since the OAT is somehow associated with the ADA. (i think your OAT payment shows up as an ADA payment on your credit card statement). it doesn't contain a physics section, but you could use MCAT books to study that subject.

I took a Kaplan Course for the OAT and becuase there were only 2 OAT students, they combined us with the 10+ DAT students taking the Kaplan course. It worked out fine becuase the topics and depth of both exams are extremely similar except OAT covers Physics I/II while DAT covers Perceptual/Spatial Reasoning. So I agree, if you can get your hands on a good DAT book, just supplement it with some good Physics review notes and questions.
