Kaplan Online DAT Course

Hello,

I was wondering what everyone thought about the Kaplan Online DAT Course. Do you guys think its sufficient for the real DAT? Is there something else I should look at as well?

I'm about half way done with the Kaplan Online DAT Course and my exam is scheduled for Aug. 28th. I kind of think I'm squeezed for time, but I would like to hear people's opinions. Thanks!

I took the kaplan online course. I actually did it in about 3-4 weeks. Then I took 2 topscore practice tests. Took the real thing and did okay.
You should be fine.

for the price tag... i'll say no...

I recommend buying the Kaplan Blue book, Destroyer, Cliffs AP, and the practice exams of topscore and achiever.... all of this should be under the kaplan online course price tag also.

I thought it was worth it. The online course lessons cover a lot of material that isn't in the blue book and in more depth. Also, the classroom stuff was great review. I really wasn't too happy about the price, but I only used kaplan and Topscore (which I wish I hadn't) and I got a AA 22/TS 21/ PAT 23 on my DAT. Of course you'll need to look up deeper information in your old course books for the sciences, but not much. I looked at destroyer since a friend of mine was using it and I really didn't like it as a primary study aid. It's just a collection of questions and many of them don't have very detailed explanations as to "why" this or that happens. It's value would be great if your completely done studying and used it as a review tool, but that's about it.

It's not the course itself that's like amazing or whatever. I took the class so that was whatever but it's the material they give you. Loads of subject tests and practice exams. THAT is why I think it's great. I studied a lot for my DAT and I still had practice material left to do from Kaplan, which I didn't get to do...

Yeah, wasn't too happy about the price either. They do provide a lot of section tests. I was just worried that the material they ask on those section test did not cover most of the possible material that will be on the actual DAT. I'm making this assumption based on what I have read on SDN in the past. I feel more confident now that you guys have said that the material is good practice.
