I'm looking into taking this course for a few reasons. First of all, I'm looking for some structure to make studying a little more manageable. Secondly, I'm hoping that the course will give me helpful hints in what is most important when studying. Lastly, I would like to know that I did all I could to prepare for this test. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!

I should probably wait about an hour (when I get my scores) before I post to this, however I found this course to be extremely helpful. It was the perfect mix of structure and flexibility, and allowed me to focus on the areas I most needed without having to listen to a load of other pre-meds who need help in other areas. With that said some people do enjoy the camaraderie of a class working together, but I found that it just made me stressed out and nervous, so the on demand was a good fit for me. Also, if you are taking classes at the same time, or working, you can fit it in when YOU have time versus when the class meets. Make sure you are disciplined and you will really reap the benefits of this class.

no it is not worth it

its only good for the aamc's and qbank...see if you can get those without wasting your time with their hit or miss teachers

go with Ek or berkley review

thanks guys and good luck with your MCAT scores @GetThePointe77! I think i may go ahead and do the course not only for the practice exams but like GetThePointe77 said you can easily review what you dont understand.

Hey,

I actually think the kaplans "on demand" was really helpful. I will attest to the fact the KAPLANS exams are usually more difficult and that the VR is a waste of time in all senses.. but it does provide you will all the material that you need to prepare and lots and lots of practice material. MOST importantly, it provides you with all the practice AMCAS test and the Kaplan FL test. This is most essensial in that half your studying should be concentrating on how you take the exam itself. The more practice material you have, the better you will be able to build your strategy. I think you have about a total of 16 total exams that are "mimics" of the MCAT as far as format, material, timing, etc.

I have used both EK and Kaplan so I can say that if I didn't have all that kaplan stuff, I know I wouldn't have progressed as much as I have. I have seen a marked increase with continual practice under timed and untimed conditions and so have all my friends who put the time into actually utilizing all the study material that is give.

I would only suggest that you get other material to study VR, but Kaplan will be more than sufficient for everything else. I know the Kap strategy is to give you more info than you will most likely be tested on (doesn't sound so fun) but when taking the amcas test, you will be able to figure out what topics are usually tested and what info is usually provided and doesn't need to be memorized.

Hope this helps😍

Perfect practice makes perfect. It's the intensity, tenacity, and consistency with which you practice that will determine your success.
