Kaplan Online Practice Tests comparable?

Hey everybody,

Sorry if this was asked before but I'm completing the Kaplan practice tests (Well the diagnostic, midterm, final, and 3 practice tests) and I'm wondering how close they compare to the real DAT?

I've heard the angles of PAT (and sometimes I hear hole punching) is harder on the real DAT, but what about the other sections?

Idk if it's true, but I hear Kaplan makes the diagnostic harder, final easier, etc to try and prove their service is worthy of the $$ spent.

yeah i was wondering about this too...has anyone taken the kaplan tests and the real dat? im wondering how the chem and ochem section compare with the kaplan tests

From what ive gathered Kaplan PAT is a joke
for gchem- kaplan is less concept based and the real DAT is more concept based
I dont know about Ochem
and QR/RC

Kaplan is a damn joke....sorry if it means u shelled out ur money just for kaplan but its the truth...

its def good practice though but don use their material as your only source...

Bio in kaplan is way too easy compared to the real DAT's bio, get urself schaums or cliffs and read through those.... But as I always say if you can read ur undergrad zoology textbook and understanding everything in there, u sir/Mam are golden...

PAT on Kaplan is a complete joke, angles is wayyyy to easy...Get CDP, waste no time and practice PAT using CDP, all kaplan PAT does is boost your confidence and mess up your scores

And I just relazied, if you get all the other sources that people believe are good material and leave out kaplan, it could prolly save you money and ull get better material...
using topscore an achiever for practice tests would be much better

Completely agree with this. Kaplan does not prepare well enough for the DAT. Use Cliff's for bio, Chad for Gen Chem and Ochem, and Crack Dat PAT for PAT. Buy the DAT destroyer and Math Destroyer combo. Kaplan was a waste of time and a waste of money at least the book was, I don't know about the course since I did not take it.
