hi everyone. I am planning on taking my DAT a second time and was wondering how helpful kaplan online was? can someone link me as well?

for those who used it, please share your experiences...which sections helped, which was not as helpful.

For my first DAT, I only used Kaplan BB, CLiffs Bio, Destroyer, and CDP and got TS18/AA19.

kaplan's online stuff is actually pretty good (the actual course where you go to 'lecture' is terrible). if you are diligent and complete ALL of the coursework (including quizzes, workshops, tests, etc.) expect to get at least a 20+ on all sections. i took the course right before i took the DAT and it significantly improved my inital score (of like a 15). the only thing that kaplan kinda sucks at is PAT. their angles are way too easy and don't even compare to the actual DAT. get something else to supplement (people on these forums like CrackPAT it seems). also, it wouldn't hurt to supplement the biology section.

Yes its worth it only if you do the work... Just make sure you take advantage of all available resourses kaplan provides you. I wish you all the best.

I have taken kaplan online Live class... and increased my score dramatically. But i only got 19AA/TS19 pat 20...

PS... only listen to people who have taken the course... and dont listen to people who have "heard from someone."

I used Kaplan online, and thought the online resources were great. A big plus for me was that the syllabus helped me stay on track throughout my studying. But you must put in the time with the materials, and do all of the workshops and quizzes. In my opinion, they were very helpful. And as has been said before, Kaplan is too easy in PAT, so I supplemented with Crack DAT PAT. Good luck!

I took kaplan and like everyone I would say the online material is really helpful but you have to stay on track and do all the tests, workshops. For PAT I would say get crack DAT PAT because kaplan's PAT angles are too easy!

+1 but before you go on spending spree take couple topscore exams and evaluate where you are on pat if you are on like 20+ then just the get 5 exam version.

also is there a set schedule in this program like homework, quizzes..or is it more of a do it at your own pace thing?

Kaplan online helped me tremendously. I found their practice science tests to be tougher than the real thing. Their PAT is way to easy though, so I used CDP. Overall, Kaplan online was well worth it. Except for PAT, I completed and went over EVERY single subject test, quizzes, workshops, etc.

Indispensable. Without kaplan online, I wouldn't have got my score. I finished all of the material except for a few math workshops and subject tests. Totally worth the time, effort, and even money.

if you have extra time, then do more practice test. K online is great and practice test are good indicator of where you stand. But as far as PAT goes, I disagree. Use CDP and thats gonna boost up ur PAT for sure.

awesome, guys! i just bought the online DAT. it came with flashcards...did you guys use them? did it help?

also how was the online kaplan QR? representative of the real DAT or not?

Resource-wise, Kaplan definitely provides solid information. In addition, you should consider: DAT Destroyer, Crack DAT PAT. Then... you should be golden. 👍
