  1. Pre-Optometry
I just took my OATs today. Before this I would always wonder the differences in the different practice tests. Here is what i got.

I took kaplan book #1 - 12 days before the actual
kaplan book #2 - 5 days before the actual
Opted - 3 days before the actual

Kaplan 1 Kaplan 2 Opted Actual
Bio 340 310 350 320
Chem 330 320 340 370
Orgo 350 330 350 370
Read 360 360 340 340
Phys 270 270 350 390
Math 330 310 370 360
AA 330 320 350 360
TS 320 310 360 380

I think opted was pretty accurate. Good luck everyone.

That's great to see!

I have written kap 1 and kap 2..I did okay on all of them, except for physics (330 on both..I would like to do much better).

Can anyone else confirm that kaplan physics is slightly harder than the actual OAT? I am scoring 370-400 for the rest of the subjects and it is really just physics that's bringing me down..

if you're getting 330 physics on kaplan you'll prob get 450 physics on the actual. No worries! lol. You're getting 370-400 kaplan, you'll rape the actual

Haha I laughed pretty hard when I read that

Where abouts you from?/ Where you applying.

I'm from Florida so I'm going to apply to Nova. How about you? When are you taking the oats?

Im from toronto hopin to go to waterloo, or SUNY..My test is on the 30th..Just wrote Kaplan 2 this morning actually..Gonna do 2 more top scores..and then the Opted 3 days before..Im on a pretty similar schedule as you it appears haha.

really solid scores!

Did you run into some surprises on bio?
What method did you use to get through the RC?

I felt like bio had random questions. I just used the old fashion way, read the passage then answer the questions.

thanks! im kinda struggling with orgo. do you think memorizing reactions would be a good idea? a 360 is really good for QR...you have nothing to worry about 🙂

I feel like knowing SN1/SN2 are important. Yes, I think knowing the reactions are important too. i used the kaplan mcat orgo and I felt it prepared me well
