Both are available near my home (Pittsburgh). Which would y'all recommend. I am taking a classroom course b/c I learn by listening with some reading.

If you learn best by listening, try buying the EK Audio Osmosis set along with the complete study package. I haven't personally used the audio osmosis, but it's supposedly equivalent to having a classroom instruction. Plus, combined with the study package it's only about $400 compared to $1600 for a formal class.

I am taking a Kaplan course. I don't know anyone personally who has taken the EK Classroom Course, so I can't compare it to Kaplan. But I can tell you what Kaplan has to offer- review notes for all the sciences, a Verbal Reasoning strategy book, class lessons, flashcards, online section tests / topical tests/ full length exams / quiz bank Questions. In paying for your Kaplan course you get access to all AAMC exams as well.

I learn similarly (read material on my own / some reinforcement in the classroom setting). In Kaplan's course you read the Review Notes at home and then do a review of major topics in each class with some practice passages and MCAT-style discretes.
