Kaplan or no Kaplan?

Hi all. So I've heard mixed things about Kaplan. Do you recommend that I take the course (online, can't take it in person)? In addition I would use the DAT destroyer, Crack the PAT, and Chad's videos as well. The Kaplan cost isn't an issue, so please disregard that when making your suggestions. Thank you so much! Definitely need some opinions. (FYI, I'm planning on taking the DAT at the end of the summer, so I have all summer to study/potentially take the course)

I heard it's a colossal waste of time (& money).

If you are dedicated enough to study on your own, I would stick with what you have with the addition of Math Destroyer and DAT Bootcamp.

Kaplan was the biggest waste of time and money ever. @orgoman22 's stuff is the best by far.

I didn't take the course, so I cant speak for that. As far as the KBB I would say its basic, but is worth it. I agree with fancymylotus..... @orgoman22 has the best material.

Plan here is to go through the KBB this year just to get familiar with what is needed for the DAT. Then, over winter break next year (5 weeks) study the better materials, Chads, Destroyer, etc. and test at the end of winter break next year. Class load and activities just are not conducive to studying during the semester (varsity athlete). Then work 2nd semester getting LOR's, writing personal statement, etc. so when the app opens in June, everything will be ready to submit. Hopefully it works as planned and it's a good plan of attack.. It also leaves time to re-do the DAT (which hopefully won't be necessary).

NO! I took their course this past summer.. and boy, do I regret it! Chad, Bootcamp, Destroyer, YouTube is all you need for this test! Even KBB I don't think is useful.

Stay away....Kaplan is good for the MCAT and SAT ...stuff like that...just not for the DAT
