I was confused with 6. I understand that because it is SN2, the product would have inversion, but why R to S instead of S to R?

How do you convert that figure into Fischer projection?

for the carbon in the front, H goes on the left, the Br goes on the right, the ethyl group stays on top, and the methyl group goes on the bottom. then u switch ethyl and H, so u have Br on right, ethyl on left, methyl on bottom, and H on top (or back). so now you look at the orientation, and its S -- but since you switched the ethyl and H, its actually R. The only choice that works is A. Hope that helps
