okay so i was doing kaplan book and go to the paper folding. In the explanation it says " ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO ELIMINATE CHOICES BY LOOKING AT THE SYMMETRY OF THE FIRST FOLD". I don't know how to apply that ?? any ideas or elaborations thanks

Ok, so to answer your question, what they mean to say is...
The area of the first fold, or the line on which the fold is made that is the line you should see and check if there is symmetry on both sides of that line. There could be holes or no holes, but they have to be symmetrical on both sides of the line after you open the paper. Tell me if you understand this, if not, I will try putting it in better words and with an example (its too late to make a picture and attach it right now..)

This works for the first fold only. Oh, and if you have crack DAT PAT, it does not work on there, they always have symmetry for at least 3, if not all of them!! But a friend of mine just gave the DAT and she said she could eliminate all but one answer on a couple of questions. So, just keep that in mind to try and see if it works. Ideally you should not be needing it after you go through the Crack...It prepares you for the weirdest of the folds.👍

very time consuming technique ...don't get hooked on this....just look at how they fold the paper then work it backwards ...very simple..practice practice and practice u will figure out a fast way on your own

IMO actually, its not time consuming at all and eliminates atleast 1-2 choices..That's more probability of getting the answer right😀!!
But the work back method is the best, no doubt!!
