So it seems like people always say that Kaplan's PAT is not representative of the real thing. What exactly is different about it? ("it's sOoOoOo much harder" is not really a helpful response. I'm just trying to understand what to expect in 6 days!)

Umm, well, coming from someone who was caught completely off guard by the real PAT after training with the Kaplan PAT...The real PAT was, in my case, almost impossibly complicated in every way. Even the hole punching, which was my best section and which was extraordinarily easy in the Kaplan, was really tough and complicated, with multiple very tricky quarter and small folds. It's just a lot more complicated.
Kaplan's PAT (from KBB) is a joke. Its a good tutorial on how to get started, but if you aren't naturally gifted, don't be surprised if you end up with a less-than 17.
Kaplan's PAT is MUCH easier than the DAT (except hole punch, its probably comparable). I am not sure if there are any other way to explain it.
