I took the PAT from the Kaplan DAT book last night, and got a 28. What would that translate to in the real world? 20ish?

If you get a 28 on achiever...that would be good...but on kaplan....not quite sure..for one, everyone says that angle ranking is way to easy on kaplan than the real dat....and kaplan overall isn't the best guide for pat... try topscore and achiever and see what you get! :luck:

same here.... 28 on the Kaplan PAT and 20 on the real thing...

Also, everyone talks about how much harder the angles are.

I thought the biggest difficulty difference was in hole-punching. I remember the ones on the DAT were TOUGH.

Kaplan does a good job with the PAT, except for the angle rankings. I was averaging about a 25 in the PAT from them and got a 20 on the real one. Kaplan's angle rankings are cake compared to the real thing.

when i was practicing a loooooooong time ago, i took the last kaplan practice the night before my dat and got a 24...ended up with an 18 on the real one. you should expect a 6-8 point drop from kaplan....just because the angle rankings and hole punch are considerably harder on the real one.

i felt barron's was a more accurate predictor on the type of questions, even though they did have some mistakes in the answer keys.

Agree with all the posts above. I was acing the Kaplan PAT sections and ended up with a 20 on the real thing. DAT achiever covers the hole punching section pretty well.

What about TopScore? I received a 20 on it, what would that translate to?
