Kaplan was offering free DAT today so I signed up for it. Did u guys know that they provide free tests every 6 months?

I am taking it right now in a class room. ahaha, pretty fun. I just finished natural science section. I think I guessed on 70% of the questions (it's been 4 years since gen chem and bio 3 yrs from ochem. lets see if i can pass above 10 🙂

so I finished the test and got my scores back. does anyone know how different kaplan test is compared to the real one?

my scores are
Bio 18
GC 18
OC 14 😱
RC 18
QR 28
PAT 24
TS 17 AA 21

I have never touched dat material before this test, and it's been 3-4 years since bio, gc and oc. so hopefully I can do better after few months of studying 😛. btw I found the RC the hardest, since english was my second language.

you did very well. I got a slightly lower score than that on the free kaplan test but I ended up doing well on the real DAT(24 AA). You have a great potential to do well on the real one. Study hard.

Your diagnostic score was pretty similar to mine.

Speaking from my experience, the diagnostic was actually considerably easier than the actual DAT. I thought the first midterm of kaplan was more representable of the real one. Just be careful of QR. I was constantly scoring 24+ on QR on all of my practice tests, but on the real one I only got a 22.

Either way, I think you are on the right track. Your score is great for a diagnostic and as long as you work hard I think you may be able to pull off like a 23+ on the real one.
