Hi,

I was wondering how the Kaplan section tests and practice exams are compared to the actual DAT. I'm still reviewing old material and not into the actual full on practice part of my schedule but I'm doing Kaplan practice problems to reinforce my learning and I'm finding that the chemistry questions are actually pretty difficult and sometimes slightly deeper than what Chad goes into in his videos. Any thoughts?

Kaplan gchem might be a tad harder than the real thing but it's pretty close. spot on for ochem. i remember getting similar questions on my test. ie which out of these molecules has the highest bp? lowest mp? etc

I'm doing pretty bad on the section tests, 66% generally. The section tests are a part of a series though and each one focuses on a different topic. I'm hoping I can continue to do better. Thanks for the tip.

I'd say Kaplan is pretty close to the actual thing as well.

Actually for me, I surprisingly scored better on the real thing somehow.

And dont worry about your section test scores of 66%. The sections aren't representative of the actual test and I'm sure you will only improve with time.

Good luck!
