in this question the right answer is that ingested glucose increases secretion of GIP which causes release of insulin, but there is one option that states "ingested glucose activates sympathetic reflex that releases insulin". the right answer is the GIP one.

In the explanation it says that activation of sympathetic stimulation inhibits insulin secretion via alpha 2 stimulation. Am I wrong or there are b-2 receptors in the pancreas which activate insulin secretion? how these work? thanks

Page 236 of First Aid 2011 is what you need. incidently that page has the worlds BEST mnemonic😀

Cheers.

PS: alpha 2 - reduced insulin secretion. beta 2 - increased insulin.

yeah, qiss and qiq till you're siq of qsq eheh I know that b-2 releases insulin but the question states that alpha 2 inhibit insulin release via sympathetic! what about b2, arent these stimulated as well?
