Does anyone know if there is a table of conversions for raw score to scaled score for kaplan full lengths? If not, is there some rule of thumb or approximation for percent right to scaled score?

Thanks!

I've been looking around for this and couldn't find anything consistant.

It does look, though, like a 75% is in the neighborhood of a scaled 10.

I believe it's in the "getting started" tab of the syllabus. It has a raw to scaled score chart for each test.

Yeah, but the exams I took are from the 2-exam book. I bought it at a Borders book store or something like that, so its not from the prep course - assuming thats what you meant when you made reference to a syllabus...

Yes, I was referring to the prep course.

On another note, generally 75% correct will translate to about a 10 scaled score. But if the tests you are talking about are similar to the full lengths in kaplans prep course, then 75% would probably get you higher than a 10 on kaplans tests.

So for a kaplan, ~75% on FL (a given section) corresponds roughly to 10+ scaled score?

I remember one PS section (Kaplan Full Length 3 I believe). I got 39/52 (75%) which translated to a 13. But each test is scaled differently for Kaplan. I think 75% on Kaplans Full Length #1 was around a 9 or 10 for PS. Same thing would happen with the other sections.

The most reflective raw to scale score conversion would probably be from an aamc test since many believe that Kaplan's scaled scores are inflated.

Ah, well I haven't actually used any conversion scales yet, but I've been hitting a little over 80% on the science sections consistently.
