I have a question.
I looked in the Kaplan schedule and looks like they have 9 hours for orgo, 9 hours for physics and so in...
Is it even possible to go through half of the orgo during 9 hours lecture?
I kind of doubt...
So, how does it work?
thank you guys

Success is predicated on your own personal studying. If you want to do well, you should expect to study alot on your own outside of class. The high points of the Kaplan class are not the classroom lectures, but rather the practice materials that Kaplan provides you. Use these tools outside of class to ace the MCAT.

thank you so much!
So, do you think I should take Kaplan after I am done with all my classes?
because I was going to take it WHILE I was doing my last semester of orgo and Physics

You are correct that there are not enough classroom hours in the Kaplan course to present these topics as new material. However, this is not their purpose. The purpose of the lectures is to provide an overview of the material in your Bio1 and 2, Chem 1 and 2, organic 1 and 2, and physics 1 and 2 classes that are relevant to the MCAT, and to condense them into the most high-yield topics. The lectures also provide you with an opportunity to ask questions about anything you may not be understanding about the material. To take the Kaplan course in lieu of the university courses would be highly ineffective, as they are only meant as a material review. The most important key to success is to study outside of class, and use the class time as a chance to clear up the stumbling points. The practice tests are also the biggest benefit to the classes. So, the answer to your question as to whether to take the class or not is going to be based on whether you feel you need TEST PREP help, not subject matter help. Test taking skills and practice exams are the main things you're going to gain that you wouldn't have gotten from the university courses you're supposed to take.

Kaplan is a review class that covers high probability topics thst could be tested. Kaplan does not (and should not) re-teach orgo.
