I am preparing to studying for the USMLE and I was wondering if someone could give me some feedback in regards to kaplan's videos? Is it worth getting it or are their lecture notes (the books the give) sufficient? Please help!
I've watched the ethics video, some physio, some micro, some immuno, etc
From what I have watched:
Ethics is amazing - watch it (1hr) and you're done studying that completely.
Physio - there's this one physio guy that teaches (dark-skinned fellow) - AMAZING. PURE GOLD
Immuno/Micro - not the greatest person you'll ever hear lecture, but does a nice job.
Genetics - ehhh. pretty boring lecturer.
Anatomy/Histo/Neuro/Biochem/Pharm - haven't watched enough to give you a good answer
Path - watched the first 30 minutes or so one time. Guy is pretty good imo. I don't know if it's how he talks or whatever, but he does a good job of keeping your interests up and helping you retain the info.

Personally, I don't see how you can just do the live lecture book series. The whole point of those is to correlate with the videos. The lecturers don't go over everything from the books, but they give you some nice ways of remembering it, and add some things that aren't in the books.
