kaplan vs aamc -- real scores

I've been doing kaplan ...and I've been averaging a 40 on 4 tests
this seems highly unrealistic to me as my aamc has been averaging 4 points lower on 2 tests

I only have a little bit of time- which tests should I take...as in which scores most accurately reflect the real MCAT?
I know AAMC is made by the testmakers but some people have said it is much easier than the real one...while Kaplan is harder but closer to questions on test day...though the curve is better.... which one do you guys think I should focus on?

i think its great ur getting 40s on Kaplan bc ppl say thats harder than AAMC but i would say take a couple more AAMC bc i have heard that AAMC is better than Kaplan for your last weeks....hope that helps and good luck 🙂

However, I agree that Kaplan's curve is a little inflated thanks to their harder tests. So, I'd say take more AAMC's and aim to get your practice average in the high 30s-40 range. AAMC averages correlate nicely with the real thing even though the real test is slightly harder.

You're averaging 40 on kaplan and 36 on AAMCs....

What's the issue even if you "only" get a 36? I don't care who you are you can't tell me that isn't damn high...people would kill for that score

Thanks for the advice- I'll do more AAMCs since it seems like those correlate more
