Kaplan Webreview? As good as the course

Hi, I wanted to ask everyone who took the usmle webreview from kaplan to share their thoughts. I am debating between taking that or the course in april. With the web review, i dont need to goto the center and i can start studying now. With the course i have to wait till april to begin. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you.

I was really satisfied with the webreview and the score it got me (224). I probably could have done quite a bit better had I not procrastinated as much and started watching the lectures more than 2 weeks before the test. Anyway, the program was a great fit because I never went to class during preclinical years and shuddered at the thought of having to sit through Kaplan lectures 8 - 5 every day.

The Webreview lectures only cover the high yield topics, whereas the live lectures cover everything from what I understand.

So should I use any supplement with the web review since as you said it only covers the high yield material, or is the high yield + qbank sufficient to do well as you did, im assuming a 224 is 90% or better. Also, people who have compared both, which one did you end up choosing. Also to those who did the webreview, did you use the kaplan books along with it. Did you have to read up before the lectures or were the lectures understandable without previous reading. Thank you very much.

They send you all of the Kaplan books which include all the low - yield material as well.

The only supplemental books I would use would be BRS path, phys, and First Aid. I spent most of June going back and forth betweene numerous review books because each one had information that the others lacked -- big waste of time.
