The Kaplan Step 2 qbank is $209 (w/ AMA discount) and the Kaplan Step 2 High Yield ($489 w/ AMA discount). Is it worth spending the extra $280 on the Kaplan Step 2 High Yield b/c it has the 45hrs of video lectures & the MTB book? Are the Kaplan High Yield videos available online? If so, I can just buy the qbank and search the videos. Please let me know. Thank you.

First off...both those prices should be lower because you should be buying the 3 month subscription (not the 1 year). I'd only use the Kaplan sources right before the test. If you're looking for a study tool during your clerkships, just buy a 1 year UWorld Step 2 QBank subscription.

Having said that, I bought the High Yield course for 3 months (something like $350 after AMA discount). I found it mildly helpful, and I went through most of the videos in about 2 weeks. You can play at 1.5x speed, and I skipped a lot of sections that I was already strong in.

Overall, the videos are OK. Most of it is Dr. Fischer just walking you through what is already listed in the MTB. It provides structure to it though, which was helpful for me. Most of Step 2 studying is just doing a lot of questions. I found the Step 2 Kaplan QBank relatively useless. UWorld is much higher quality questions and explanations, and I decided to just stick to it for studying. Don't complicate things too much.
