KCOM acceptance decision today (should I call?)

I interviewed last week at KCOM. They said the ADCOM would meet today (Wednesday, Nov 24, 2004) and decide. They said normally it would be okay to call the next morning but because of the holiday we should call Monday. I'd really like to call today, maybe this afternoon. Anyone know what time they meet? Anyone ever called earlier, like right after the committee met?

They told you to call Monday, so call Monday. Don't be "that guy".

they're usually good at calling people...they called me at 6:15am (cali time) to tell me that I'm in.....imagine my sleepy voice then..haha

KCOM is a great school..but i'm leaning alot towards DMU..good luck with your decision!!!!!

When the interviews ended last Thursday they said the committee would decide on the following Wednesday (Nov 24). We were told to call Monday (Nov 29). I'm in another town visiting my in-laws but I got the feeling I should check my home voicemail. There was a message from KCOM but I didnt' get it until late in the afternoon and the KCOM staff took off for the holiday at noon. I'll have to try them again Monday. I like to think that if they hurried to call me Wednesday right after they met it must have been good news.... at least I'll think that to keep from worrying all weekend.

What part of telling you to call on Monday did you not understand? The people at KCOM are extremely friendly folks - and I did call them to find out what their decision was, but I waited till the advised day to do it.

Yea they called me the wednesday night after they met. I doubt they'd call you right away to notify you that you were rejected. I don't even think they'd call you to tell you that you were rejected, they'd probably just write. Of course, I could be wrong 😉

It said (quoting from the voicemail still saved on my Vonage account):

"Hello, this message is for (my name). This is (her name) calling from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, calling to let you know that the admissions committee has met and released a decision on your file. You can contact me at (phone number). If you are unable to reach our office by the time we close for the holiday you can call back on Monday and we'll be happy to give you the decision for your file. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and I look forward to talking to you."
