I just wanted to congratulate all of you on getting into KCOM. The welcoming festivities await you!

The first few weeks, you will be wined and dined. But, be wary...the will begin to pour it on with a vengence after the "honeymoon" period!

See y'all come August!

I'm really excited to be going. I've been a fan of osteopathic medicine for a LONG time. Any other KCOM 2004 people out there? Can't wait to meet everyone! I also can't wait until I leave my job in early August! Not that I don't love these people, but in the course of the internship, I'm realizing that I hate having a desk job.

Just went down to k-ville last week and found a place to live, close to campus. When do you think is the best time to show up? right on August 12 or a week ahead of time? Getting excited

I would most definitely get here earlier that the day before...gives you a chance to learn your way around.

Yes, Myrna...leave your string bikini at home. Well, a friend of mine <boring path class> just he feels you should bring it!

Your call Myrna...I promise I won't wear one! Would scare all the fish away!!!!

Well, with all those hail storms I should probably invest in some titanium rain gear. In any case, it's a good thing my car is an '87 Plymouth Caravelle instead of a '00 Honda Civic. My heart would have just broken if I found my new car dimpled like a golf ball.

I was totally joking about the bikini- sory to disappoint your friend.

Looking forward to hail, med school and living in an apartment with obscenely low rent per month.

Wait a minute, did I miss this talk about hail storms? How often are there hail storms there?

Hey Chilly Willy,
The hail storms post is on another thread but if you are from Tornado Alley (aka eastern Kansas, eastern OK or eastern TX ??) these storms are little baby storms with little baby hail. They don't last long and they don't come by that often.

If you have a fancy car that candle any weather just get a place with a carport or a garage and then you don't have to worry.
