Conflicted between SHSU/KCU-Joplin

Hi all! I am super grateful to have acceptances from multiple DO schools. I got into KCU Joplin back in November, and for a long time assumed that was the only school I would get into this cycle, but recently, I got into SHSUCOM as well. I am a bit conflicted between which school is better. I have listed the pros/cons below.

Note- I’m doing HPSP so cost of school doesn’t matter for me.

KCU-Joplin-

Pros:

H/P/F

Has a military med track

Most established of three schools(since school is part of the KCU program)

Best match rates so far

Hospitals to rotate are Level 2 trauma centers(I’m interested in EM/trauma med so this is a nice + for me)

Cons:

Rural for first two years(I can rotate at KC for 3rd year)

Heard its curriculum is harder than most DOs(but idk how true that is).

Heard that a curve will no longer be applied for exams (originally KCU would curve classes to 85% but it doesn’t do that anymore)

Far away(I’m a TX applicant)

Low board pass rate, though it’s trending up(91%)

SHSU:

Pros:

close to home(3 hours)

H/P/F curriculum

Higher Board pass rate(97%)

Cons:

Didn’t have much with military med opportunities(atleast that was my feeling when I went to their interview)

Nothing much to do in the area there(semi urban)

Newer school, so idk how good opportunities are for things like research.

Not too many people matches into the military from SHSU

For me opportunities with the military medical system is huge, since I’m the first one in my family to join, and I want to be competitive. So can someone please give some insights into this?
