so I was wondering why is it that keq doesn't have to be 1 inorder for a rxn to be at equilibrium.... watched chad and he said only conditions to be true for being at equilibrium is delta G= 0, Ecell= 0, and Q=K.... which I understand... but cant inderstand why keq doesn't have to be 1????

Keq is a measure of the concentrations of the products vs reactants at equilibrium. It's not a measure of whether the reaction is at equilibrium. if keq>1 products are favored @ equilibrium. if Keq<1, reactants are favored at equilibrium.
