I Just got accepted into ASDOH!! i'm not gonna say what my numbers are because they are a little below average, I just got word from the admissions office that i have been accepted! I think my perseverance payed off! i had called the admissions office just about everyday since Dec. 1st asking them if there had been an update to my status. I had become a little nervious this past few weeks and i live close enough to stop in and talk to them in person, well after spending countless hours waiting down there, they notified me that i had been accepted. Well i guess i need to get some hobbies now other then stalk the admissions people!

Congrats, that's awesome! Did they call you or did you get a letter in the mail? I live in Mesa and I am considering going down there and bothering them.

I have a similar experience. It really payed off for me also. I think that anyone that lives close to the school should do this. They really appreciate perserverance.

Are you guys serious about the stalking/perseverance? Or, are you just trying to bait some applicant into making a fool out of themselves?

I wouldn't do what they've mentioned. It's called "annoying".

I'd rather be "annoying and accepted" rather than "quietly flippin burgers at McDonalds. I think dental schools should be a bit more courteous to applicants in general and let people know things a bit sooner, so they can either move on with their lives or prepare for dental school. I wonder if they sometimes forget that by accepting one person into their school or not they probably wont alter the school all that much but for that one person their entire life will never be the same.

You flip burgers at McDonalds?

I wouldn't mind being called annoying, as long as I was sitting in the lecture hall come July. If it takes a little stalking than I'm all for it.

Hey, since you're so good at it, would you mind bugging them about my app?? I REALLY want to go there too! Thanks a lot! I appreciate it! Now that you're in, I'm sure you don't have any thing better to do anyway, right?

lol, looks like you'll have to change your username, TempeLoser. You're a MesaLoser now.

Congrats Micheal that is fantastic! Looks like I will be joining you. I went down there personally and talked with Joyce Haynie for a half hour. It definately was beneficial because...the next day (Jan 23rd) I got a call from Dr. Zais. lol. I'm so excited!!!

for those of you who went down there and talked to joyce, did you make an appointment or just stop by and start talking to her? this really worked for you guys?

Have any of you had a hard time getting ahold of Joyce, and if so can we contact other members of the admissions office like say Leah Vincent??

So are any of you actually going to go there for sure? I am, so that would make us classmates! 👍

🙂 No appointment is necessary. Just drop by. Joyce was very helpful.

Looking forward to meeting some of you who have said they are going to ASDOH this fall!

I think it's ironic that people say flipping burgers when in reality i don't think there exist many fast food places that actually flip burgers these days. Don't they just heat them up in the microwave? Maybe i'm wrong....
