Hi,
This is my first post in the forum so, hi 🙂

To tell my story, well, I was having hard times with my personal life and of course with the school, that resulted me failing twice and eventually being kicked out of school.

You know, these times are hard times. It took me a while to pick it up and decide to start from where I left. But thanks to my friends and the great support from my family, I could find the strenght to start it again.

Now I am in the 2nd year of the school. And I hate it here because of the memories it reminds. So, that idea came up my mind: "Go abroad"

Now I have 2 things in my mind, go now and go after graduation. I don't know if these are the possibilities for me after being kicked out of school and coming back, but that's what I want to do.

So, here are my questions:
1- I am now 24, and I will be 29 when I graduate. Does that change anything? I mean does that prevent me from continueing my specialization in medicine?
2- Does the fact that I was kicked out of the school and came back change anything?

To sum up, I'll be a man who is 29 and who had been kicked out of school when I graduate and how do these affect my chances to continue my education abroad?

EDIT: ATM, I am in Turkey.

What school are we talking about? High school, college, med school?

Thanks for the reply, sineapse.

I am at med school right now.

Mate, I'm sorry you are having a hard time. But look at it this way:

You are damn lucky to be readmitted after being kicked out. You have done two years now, that is two years wasted if you were to quit. And then what? Restart in another country? You will have to pay loads more, reacclimatise to a new culture and all the difficulties that involves and probably get bored revisiting preclinical medicine for the third time!

If I were you, I would stick it out *at least* until third year so you can experience clinical medicine. After all, even if you do graduate and decide you don't want to practise....that is fine! You can use your medical degree in lots of non medical jobs 🙂

Goodluck!

Thank you for your answer.

I know I am lucky, and I am aware of the things you said.

I really really do want to do this job. My intent is not dropping the school or something like that. This profession was not my first choice, I admit. But the idea of helping people... I love this. And I love this. This profession was my second choice, and this university was my 6th choice 🙂

I can't make myself clear because I do not know what terms you use for the thing I am trying to ask. So I am gonna try again now 🙂

I was kicked out of school and returned. Now I am at second class and I am 24. When I graduate (if I don't experience any other misfortunes), I will be 29.
I want to continue my education abroad after I graduate from this medicine faculty. And I might think of continuing my education abroad right now, if I can. I mean going to, for example, Malta and start from 3rd class when this one is over. Is that possible?

My second thing is this: After you graduate from medicine faculty, you choose your branch and start getting education about it. I don't know what this is called in terminology. But what I am trying to say is, I want to specialize on a medicine branch. And I want to do this abroad, not in my own country.

But considering my age and being kicked out of school once, this might not be possible, I guess. And this is what I want to ask: Can I continue my education abroad despite these facts?

Yes.

You don't know how happy you made me with these three letters 🙂 Thank you.

Now I can explore how things work, what the definitions used for this procedure are in my free time.

This possibility is something that brings hope, encouragement and vision back to me again 😀
