As i always say, stats make you eligible to apply, but its the whole package that gives you acceptance.Our stats create an opinion on our the person who takes the interview, higher stats lead to high expectations. But the game doesnt stop here, in order to get the acceptance, you need to prove your skills- dexterity, interpersonal and communication. You will have to present your maturity as a dental profession during your interview at every moment. Think and jort down the qualities you can imagine that a dental school wants in you, then have an example of your work or experience or extra curricular activity to prove that you have that quality... look at the various sections of your caapid applications, the more number of "NO's" eg no research experience or no publications, no public health experience, will deduct your marks since every section has an allocated score. eg comapre 2 candidates as below
