hi there ...though i m not done with my exams yet ....but I have heard some people got in with 76 or 77% but their other credentials are good like GPA n work ex...on the other hand few got in with low GPA even less then 2 n with good NBDE score ...so things varies,Score is not the only criteria.
Good Luck

don't worry friend every one are in the same situation. forget about your score for time being take some break and give part 2. Last year I know a girl with 76 got admission . So, try to improve your profile in various other areas. All the best friend

As i always say, stats make you eligible to apply, but its the whole package that gives you acceptance. Our stats create an opinion on our the person who takes the interview, higher stats lead to high expectations. But the game doesnt stop here, in order to get the acceptance, you need to prove your skills- dexterity, interpersonal and communication. You will have to present your maturity as a dental profession during your interview at every moment. Think and jort down the qualities you can imagine that a dental school wants in you, then have an example of your work or experience or extra curricular activity to prove that you have that quality... look at the various sections of your caapid applications, the more number of "NO's" eg no research experience or no publications, no public health experience, will deduct your marks since every section has an allocated score. eg comapre 2 candidates as below

CANDIADTE 1
Nbde part 1 : high score 4/5

Keep working your best effort, may be i can be wrong, but this is my understanding. My personal experience is dont get over confident but stay focussed , keep learning what you dont know and work hard equally at every step

commendable reply !!
nicely calculated

Are these the real points they give Toothfairy?
Or is it just an example? How did you get to know it in such detail.?

I bet toothfairyqueen is just giving an example how you can cover your low part-1 scores. No one knows how admission committee selects applicants but this seems the logical way.

Good work toothfairyqueen. This is an example but this is exactly how many schools follow their gradings. total grading score and some criteria might differ but there is always a possibility to make up in other parts even if you are bad at one of them. So good luck and work hard to improve all over resume and SOP.
