KMart/Sears "On Call" Position

Does anyone know what the K-Mart/Sears "on call" position is? After interviewing for it, it seems like it is a PRN position whenever they need extra help. I just find it weird it is named "on call"...

Side note: I have FT work somewhere already and I know K-Mart is eventually going to go out of business. I just wanted to take the opportunity to pick up extra shifts if it got to that point...
