Know HNMR values or just IR?

There isn't anything on the aamc list about needing to know HNMR values (just IR), but IIRC, there has been mention of it my content review.

EK says to just know that an aldehyde is around 9.5ppm. Do you think this is sufficient?
 
I would say also know aromatic protons since they are distinctive and easy to remember.
 
You need to know both IR wavenumbers and NMR shifts for all the common functional groups - carbonyl, alcohol, nitrile, etc.
