Is there a way to know what the charge of a transitional element/metalloid will be - something like Arsenic for example?

I think the best method is just to memorize the more common transitional metals, ie

Zn2+, Ag+, Co2+, Co3+, Cr2+, Cr3+, Cu+, Cu2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, etc

Gotcha. I was doing DAT Destroyer and there's some weird stuff that you have to known such as Arsenic. Is it common to have questions like that on the DAT?
