Does anyone know how beneficial the summer program is? Is it worth giving up one's last summer before med school starts?

It covers biochem, anatomy, and physiology. To help prepare students for the rigors of med school, I guess.

Any insights on med school summer programs in general, or KUMC in particular??

hmmmm, interesting question. I know a person or two who took it, and supposedly they did cover some pretty good stuff that does cause some confusion at first (ie the electrophys section). I took the summer off, made some money, got some sun, kicked it constantly, and had a blast. Now in school I am doing quite well......Regardless of what you do, you'll have to study a lot, so you might as well take the summer off while you can. Seriously......biochem vs. being a pool bum. The answer should be obvious
