Hi I recently interviewed at KYCOM in Pikeville, Kentucky and at PCOM in Philadelphia. Both interviews went really well and I got accepted into KYCOM and I think I have a pretty good shot at getting into PCOM. I was wondering if one school is head over heels better than the other or what the general thoughts are about both schools. Thanks.

PCOM for sure. What you don't realize going in is how much more an established school can offer in terms of connections for third and fourth year rotations, as well as experience and guidance from professors who have seen it all. The difficulty for you is going to be whether or not you can get an acceptance there before your acceptance at KYCOM expires. The answer is to call up PCOM and let them know that you have an existing offer on the table and will need a firm yes or no by 'X' date. Otherwise, you risk not getting in this year and probably never having a shot at KYCOM again.

Go to PCOM, they don't have mandatory attendance while KYCOM does.

The only way this thread makes sense is if you're asking about PCOM-GA ....but you aren't so this thread doesn't.

If you were comparing kycom to one of the newer DO schools, I could see kycom's lower tuition being nice.....but geez, passing up PCOM would be tough! Only thing that would sway me, possibly? Location....I don't think id like to live in philly....but I don't think id like living in pikeville either.....
