Hello! I have an acceptance at KYCOM, but just received an interview invite from MUCOM. If I could get some information about which one people think is better that would be great! KYCOM is pass fail, and MUCOM seems to use traditional grading system. Tuition is about the same.
Any feedback is appreciated, thank you!
KYCOM
Pros
- solid residency matches
- rotation spots in northern ky and cincy
- supportive faculty
- one of my best friend's in a M1
- cheap housing
Not sure if this would be a pro or con
- pass fail (although the percentages do go on your transcript)
Cons
- rural
- 3.5 hours from home
Overall I really liked the campus and area around it, but not pikeville itself as much.
MUCOM
Pros
- solid residency matches
- urban location
- 1.5 hours from home
- affordable housing
Cons
-traditional grading scale
I'm not as familiar with MUCOM, so any information about it would be helpful!
