Wasn't sure where to put this so I just picked here, sorry if this is spam!

UK pros:
Close to home

UK cons:
Still on waitlist, so I'm stuck waiting

Pikeville pros:
Facilities/staff seemed better at the interview
Already accepted

Pikeville:
Far from home

Advice on credibility of schools would be appreciated!

Take the MD acceptance. It is your state MD, so it should be cheaper in costs; UK will also have its own year 3 and 4 rotations which is another hurdle you would come to at KYCOM as osteopathic schools usually do a lot of away / visiting rotations for those years. Further, you would only have to take the USMLE. HOWEVER, if you never get off the waitlist at UK, the definitely take the KYCOM as it will still put you on the path to becoming a physician!

As someone who graduated from KYCOM I would completely agree with Rogue. I really enjoyed my experience at KYCOM but if you get a state school MD acceptance, you take it! If for nothing else than for the money saved.
