Hi all,

First post here on SDN, and I need some advice. I'm currently looking into post-bac programs to fufill my remaining med school prerequisites and retake one or two. I took Bio and Chem in undergrad about 6 years ago, but did not do so hot in Chem (got C's). I would like to stay in the LA area, and I've spoken with the director at Scripps (who told me that my chances weren't very good of getting in there because of my C's in Chem, and only a 3.2 cum GPA).

Has anyone been successful in the UCLA Excension Science Certificate Program? I'm worried that I won't have access to the same advising tools and structure that I would at a formal post-bac program, but the cost savings would be huge and UCLA is a great school.

Anyone have feedback on the post-bac programs at USC? Chapman? Cal State Fullerton? Do you think my poor performance in general chemistry would hinder my chances of getting into these as well?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!
