Lab intern on H4 visa

Hi!
I'm an indian dentist on H4 visa (No EAD) and got an opportunity as lab intern for unpaid work position at University of Pennsylvania school of dental medicine. My only concern is whether I can accept this role or if yes, will it cause any problem further regarding my visa status?
