I am interviewing for a lab position with two lab PIs (both located at the same research institution) tomorrow and I am not sure of what to say to them at the end of the interview. If I do not decide to go with their lab or I decide not to make a decision on the spot (that is, if they even decide to take me), what should I say???
And is it okay that the interview is taking place at their offices? (it would be nice if I could see the other students working in the lab to see what the dynamic is like and etc)...

This sounds like a very exciting opportunity. I always like to sleep on my important decisions, how soon do you need an answer?

You can ask for a tour if they don't plan one. I always just said that I'll make a decision of whether or not to commit and give them a time frame.

I think it's okay to ask if worded professionally - they will more than likely tell you their student publication track record though.

Say something like, "Have students had the opportunity in the past to be included on publications?"

I think every PI knows your ultimate goal will be to get pubs so it's probably not an issue. Just be humble about it when asking.
