Alright, I have a couple more questions that come to mind. What are the average statistics for matriculates to UNR? I am an in state student (I have lived here my entire life.), however I am attending an out of state school. Will this make a difference? Also, I will be taking Organic Chemistry I in upcoming fall semester. The lecture is four credits, and the lab is one. Do I need to take the lab for medical school? There are a required eight units for UNR in the way of Organic Chemistry. So if I take the lecture for OChem I and II will this suffice? Thanks.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but you do have to take labs associated with your science pre-req courses.

No, you have to take lab and lecture. Most schools suggest you take them together, but you don't have to if you don't want to. I would suggest taking them together so you don't have to relearn material (especially for Orgo II and lab, lots of overlap between them), but many choose to take labs over the summer, for example.

Attending out of state school will not hurt your residency in Nevada.

While most med schools only require 8 hrs of organic the majority require a BA BS or the like, you should check with your school with what is exactly required for you degree program.

Also at my school organic I was a 4 credit hour course, while organic II was only a 3 credit hour course...7hours

Suck. had to take the lab.

Thanks for the advice. :0) Is UNR rather difficult to matriculate into? I am an in state student, so of course that will help.
